Mesotherapy is fast becoming one of the most popular treatments as an alternative to dermal fillers. Mesotherapy skin boosters can provide great results but without the risks of dermal fillers. Mesotherapy can be performed in a number of ways: a series of micro-injections, needle-free mesotherapy with an electroporation device, or a combined microneedling treatment for collagen stimulation therapy. The mesotherapy technique used within a treatment will depend on a number of factors: the client’s concerns, skin condition, age, goals and budget. All techniques use pharmaceutical-graded solutions such as Hyaluronic Acid, growth factors, peptides, vitamins, minerals and amino acids that are pushed into the superficial dermis. This allows active and essential ingredients to come into direct contact with the dermal fibroblast cells, giving beneficial effects to revitalise the skin and stimulate the skin’s natural metabolic processes.

What are the different ways Mesotherapy can be performed?

Micro-injections – the traditional and most common method of mesotherapy. Small, fine-gauge needles are used to inject the mesotherapy solution directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin). The injections are typically administered in a grid-like pattern across the treatment area.

Microneedling Mesotherapy – pen with tiny needles is rolled over the skin, creating microchannels. The mesotherapy solution is then applied topically or injected into the microchannels. Microneedling helps enhance the absorption of the solution and stimulates collagen production.

Nappage Technique – known as the “papular” or “point-to-point” technique. Involves injecting small amounts of the mesotherapy solution at multiple points across the treatment area. Nappage is often used for facial rejuvenation.

Electroporation – involves the use of an electrical current to temporarily increase the permeability of cell membranes. The mesotherapy solution is applied to the skin, and an electric pulse is used to facilitate the penetration of the active ingredients into the cells.

Nappage Mesotherapy
Addressing various skin concerns, Mesotherapy Nappage is one of the traditional techniques of skin epidermal regeneration, which creates tiny micro-bubbles of solution on top of the skin. This is a painless treatment using the shortest, finest micro-needle, which allows precise control. A mild chemical peel is applied to the skin before the application of nappage using only pharmaceutical-graded solutions containing HA, growth factors, biomimetic peptides, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. LED light therapy is added to this treatment to boost collagen production and boost blood and nutrient flow to the skin.

MELINE Depigment Microneedling
To target pigmentation and keep pigmentation activity down in the skin throughout the year – even summer time! MELINE Depigment Microneedling is effective to reduce the melanocyte activity in the skin. To finish a soothing, calming and pigmentation boosting mask will be applied to the face for hydration and rejuvenate the skin.

Advanced Mesotherapy Microneedling
Advanced collagen stimulation therapy needling treatment is a 3 in 1 treatment or 4 in 1 if added LED light therapy. This bespoke treatment is personalised to the individual skin and includes a chemical peel, micro-needling and personalised Mesotherapy solutions along with two types of needling devices. This advanced needling treatment works slightly deeper into the skin than the standard for more aged skin and acne scarring. A 16-needle cartridge is used along with a single (nano) needle that can be used for deeper lines/wrinkles, acne scarring, scars and stretch marks.
Post needling LED light therapy can be added to soothe the skin and help boost collagen stimulation further. Alternatively a hydrating mask is applied to hydrate and calm the skin. Homecare samples are given to use the next couple of days post needling.
Note: the use of topical anaesthetic can be used, but set guidelines have to be adhered which will be discussed with you at the consultation.
*There is a slight down-time to the treatment as you may look a little red for up to 24-48 hours afterwards, any single lines/wrinkles worked can take up to 3-5 days to heal. It is advised not to apply cosmetic make-up until 48 hours post treatment, mineral make-up is an alternative and can be discussed at the consultation.
For optimum results, a course of three treatments is recommended depending on your skin concerns. Deep acne scarring may require up to six treatments.
