What is Hyperpigmentation?

Skin Pigmentation – Hyperpigmentation is an umbrella term used to cover any number of conditions where one patch of skin becomes noticeably darker than the surrounding skin of the same area. Although different types of hyperpigmentation can be caused by various factors such as acne scarring, medications, and inflammation from other conditions, the main cause is sun exposure.

MELINE specialises in treatments for pigmentation, they are the first and only range of specialised treatments for every different skin of skin pigmentation, skin type and part of the body affected. MELINE treatments are easy to apply, providing fast and effective results, proven through clinical trials. MELINE skin peels and homecare products offer treatments according to:

• the type of pigmentation being treated
• the skin phototype
• the area of the body affected

MELINE Treatment Options:

1. MELINE treatments for different skin types – there is a wide variety of skin types, each with its unique characteristics. Depending on its phototype, the skin reacts in different ways to both internal and external factors that can cause hyperpigmentation on the face and body

2. MELINE treats different types of pigmentation including sun damage, melasma, lentigos, post-inflammatory, hormonal and stress.

3. MELINE can treat pigment removal for specific areas such as intimate (genito-anal, underarm) areas and per-orbital (eye) areas. Each treatment is tailored depending on the sensitivity being treated

MELINE homecare products have been formulated to work in synergy with MELINE professional treatments, optimising their results. The potent depigmenting action of these serums and emulsions compliments the effects of the skin peels applied in the clinic and are crucial for the success of treatment.
